She moved away, but he padded after her almost expectantly. "Well, I guess I'm stuck with you now, so I'll have to give you a name. I'll call you... Bolt. Bolt, would you, by any chance, know where a good patch is?" To her surprise, he leapt into the air, a trail of sparks trailing behind him. Codiac grabbed her scythe from its sling, and separated the patch into wispy static threads, which she guided into the array of jars beneath her cloak, marvelling at the newfound ease of the task . "You know, Bolt, I think I have enough charge here, thanks to you, that we can go home early! You can meet the clan, and Orchid and..." Codiac didn't know how long she went on, but all of a sudden the lair came into view. Codiac sprinted towards the camp but when she arrived, she slowed once more, struggling to contain her excitement as she walked into the room she knew Orchid would be in. |
