Arcane aberrations develop crystalline nodules on their scales which store and concentrate the abundant energies of the Starfall Isles, like miniature personal focussing lenses. They can then use the stored energy in formidable bursts of power, but once depleted, it takes a long time to replenish.

Common patterns are crystal/facet, diamond/spade, fade/blend and ribbon/eel, in the pink to purple range.
