Melbourne

Formerly named Sandy, before he was bought and renamed, Advisor Xei sometimes calls him Mel for short, and whatever other names he can come up with befitting the smoky gaoler. Going through a ring of names however is no bother for Melbourne. What the others may not know, the other goalers do, taking pity on him and treating him kindly in Tagikelnstwua’s stead. Why yes, before the division, Melbourne and Tagikelnstwua were inseparable, preferring the quiet company of each other as they strolled about the clan grounds and the gaolers’ prison. Melbourne never knew why Tagikelnstwua would care for someone as lowly as him when Tagikelnstwua was of such a high order himself, but Tagikelnstwua would always assure him it was simply a matter of taking a liking to him, and that Melbourne should cherish himself more than he does as he’s deserving of so. When Advisor Xei came to find Melbourne had been in the clan for quite sometime without him noticing, he promptly made sure Melbourne would always make himself known. Yet, as is the nature of a gaoler and with Tagikelnstwua’s words at the forefront of his mind, Melbourne was a little resistant as he was not about to have himself bowing to some dragon who enjoyed the luxuries of life. And that’s how he found his voice taken from him. Now, when Advisor Xei isn’t busying him with some frivolous task, Melbourne finds himself lying beside Tagikelnstwua’s sleeping form, waiting for his wake and his own shift to end.
