Ruby is known for not being the most friendly in the clan but she's been around the longest, longer than even Lemon. She keeps track of the clans history which she greatly enjoys since she's alone when she is working. She has a soft side for Lemon and the ice hatchlings. She hasn't ever had a permanent mate and she doesn't really want to have one. She prefers having the company of familiars and Lemons cat. As the historian she has everything important to the clan written down, and she like to look back at some of her entries, such as when the clan made the move to Shadow from Plague is one of her happier memories. She disliked Plague because of how dangerous and disturbing it was as a whole. She enjoys the lands of shadow because its forested and isn't a deathtrap.

Back in the days when the clan was still serving PlagueMom, Ruby was young and had just recently joined the clan after leaving her cold homeland. She was hopeful until she had almost died because she tripped. She hated the vile and barren lands that the clan lived in. Soon though, Lemon joined the clan and swayed the entire clan to make the change to Shadow. As soon as the clan arrived Ruby was so pleased by the lands of Shadow she was smiling, well as much as a dragon can smile.

Shadow had been treating Ruby well. Except for the occasional trick that the hatchlings would play. She greatly enjoys the forests of Shadow but Lemon has made a good choice in making the change to Light. To quote Lemon “it'll be good for you to get some light on those wings, plus I heard that when we join they throw glitter on us!” Ruby of course rolled her eyes but was happy to hear about the move to Light.
