- when Sol and Theia found out they were having children, they knew Lux would not accept their child if it was born in the shadow region
- out of desperation, they told Lux they'd be heading to the sunbeam ruins to have their children
- unfortunately, they did not make in time, and they were forced to nest in shadow
- they sent their two eldest daughters to open clans, but the couple could not bring themselves to get rid of the youngest; her eyes were terribly sensitive to light, so much so that it left her nearly blind the moment she opened her eyes
- Theia suggested they simply cover her eyes and forbid her from performing magic
- so far, the truth of her birth has been a carefully kept secret
- Zade does as she's told out of fear for her own life if Lux discovered her true nature; she's rather quiet and often chooses not to speak at all, but she's a truly incredible combatant, fast and quick-thinking; she's learned to rely on instinct in battle over the years
