Biography
_____Clumsy and sensitive with no natural predators, the arrival of ground-based carnivores on colonial ships to New Zealand spelled doom for the flightless kakapo already threatened by overhunting. Only 199 of these incredibly unique birds remain, and their young must be continuously monitored by conservationists for infections.
Hatchery Info (WIP)
It is this hatchery's goal to create a population of Snakapo that equals or exceeds the population of their real-world inspiration. Each hatchling is 100g. For every 25 hatchlings born (not sold-- this means others can create and breed their own and these will count!) I will donate $25usd to the conservation of these birds.
Snakapo requirements:
Pear/Pear/Chartreuse
Pear/Leaf/Chartreuse
Laced/Peregrine/Underbelly
Banana-Flaxen underbelly range also acceptable. This combo is currently inaccessible and must be bred (WIP), and cannot be cross-bred with chartreuse underbellied Snakapo due to the incompatible range it could produce. Snakapo with incorrect underbellies will not be recognized in the count.
