Infection is a doctor by trade. A scientist. As such, Infections job is to create new disease, new contagion for them to spread. On top of this lofty job, it is also Menaces (who has forbidden it from calling her mother) personal guard. It does not like its job. It wishes to do more science and less violence. Infection wants a slow, precise contagion. Something you don't notice until far too late. It thinks Menace is far too emotional, despite what she may say.

First Hatch

Infection loves his siblings. He really does, but they are distant, and care not for his scientific work. They think he gets special treatment. He supposes he does. His room is nicer than theirs. Mother is more lenient with him. His siblings do not understand what suffering he is in regardless of this. They focus only on what he has, and not what he is distinctly lacking. Freedom.

The Favored Son

Mother thinks Infection is strong. She thinks she will make a great leader to a clan one day. She does not care that Infection only wants to experiment, that she wishes to spread contagion from the background, that she does not wish to be the center of attention. Menace will make her into the perfect leader, whether Infection likes it or not. Infection is strong. It always has been. He wants nothing but to be strong doing what she wants to do, science.
