Similar to one of her daughters, she has plants constantly growing around her. They correspond with her emotions; bright and floral when she's feeling positive, prickly and dark when negative. She works hard to keep her family happy and cared for. She's very stressed. Her job keeps her away from the house often, leaving her two eldest, Essex and Intrepid, to step up to care for their younger siblings, since Saratoga, Ranger's wife, isn't exactly around a lot. "Business trips," you know.

Ranger was an only child with relatively absent parents, leaving her with a rather lonely childhood. Eventually, she starts getting to know Saratoga. They had been acquaintances before, Saratoga being a few years further in her training than Ranger. Saratoga is there for her after everything that happened [elaborate later], and they fall in love a bit hastily. Saratoga could give Ranger the one thing she wanted: a happy family with children who felt love, something she had never really had. They soon had Essex and their other daughters, but between Bunker Hill and Franklin is when things started to go south. [elaborate later]

Ranger was killed in the same fire as Franklin, clutching her tightly and telling her that everything is going to be okay. Ranger has moved on from this world, but Bunker Hill still has dreams about her sometimes, dreams that seem just a little too real to be just a dream.
