YeonHwa

Yeon Hwa is the third daughter of Azai and Leviathan, and was hatched in the same nest as Qri. Upon hatching, she was listed to be sold, along with two other hatchlings from the nest. However, Borah was largely indecisive about whether or not she wanted to go through with sending Yeon Hwa off. There was something about this little girl that just seemed too precious to lose. Thus, she was only listed once before the decision to keep her with the family was made. As she grew up, everyone began to understand what it was that made her so special. She is the best of both parents -- energetic and passionate like Azai, but possessing the gentleness and elegance of Leviathan.

Like her mother, Yeon Hwa tasked herself with caring for the hatchlings of the lair, most especially when Leviathan is away training young adults to be exalted. She has more than enough energy to keep up with even the most boisterous of baby Spirals, and her surprisingly beautiful singing voice can calm the tears of the hungriest, crabbiest baby Mirrors.

She and her mate are more like friends than they are as lovers. They were put together on the suggestion of Sanada and agreed out of a sense of duty. However, Yeon Hwa has very little interest in mating and producing offspring of her own, most especially because the time spent on a nest is time taken away from taking care of the hatchlings who are already in the lair and in need of her love.

The Sakura Owl that is her familiar was a gift from another Fire clan that gifts familiars to clans of the Ashfall Wastes.
