Ex-Herd dragon! Having hatched her first nest, Butcher is no longer capable of continuing the lineage.

Uh-oh, looks like this devoted Herdling travelled a little too far from her home lair, (Volrin, #261879) and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to her home lair, to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here, or to the hub if you don't want another dragon in return. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!
Important note: Please only trade this dragon on travelling dragon threads or with trusted users, as opposed to places such as the Auction House. Also, Butcher uses she/her pronouns. Please use them in the lore you write for her! Butcher would like to receive a permanent home someday, so if you'd like to adopt her after she's been travelling long enough, just let Volrin know! Biography:
True to her lineage, Butcher is a friendly, kind soul to outshine many. Unlike most Herdlings, she remained in her birth clan instead of setting out on her own travels to search for a mate -- she always did chafe against the idea of hooking up with another dragon for the sole purpose of having kids with them. Even if she felt that same urge to continue her bloodline that all Herdlings felt, Butcher couldn't bear the thought of being selfish, or taking advantage of somebody else. She decided that her best option was to wait for the right dragon to come to her... and her union would be one of true love, not of convenience.
And love did find her, in the form of the struggling, heartbroken Heijitsu, who came to stay within The Purified Temple as a travelling dragon. The poor Mirror had been very recently abandoned by her mate of many years, and dumped in a shabby hotel somewhere in Dragonhome -- and she wasn't doing well with it. Butcher dedicated many hours to visiting with the traveller in her room of the Temple, holding conversations long into the night, confiding all of their thoughts and feelings in one another...
...and eventually, a real love grew within Butcher. And it was reciprocated by Heijitsu.
And the Guardian and the Mirror raised a nest together.
Some Herd dragons really struggle with their purpose once their firstborn nest hatches, but this wasn't the case for Butcher; she already knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that she wanted to become a traveler and follow along with Heijitsu, should her partner have her. They set off eagerly towards a new beginning, soon after their hatchlings had left to contribute to The Herd as well.

AlumTheDragon: I'm glad to say that my first stop as a traveler was a nice one! A former traveler named Lightbulb let us stay in his tent. His son Flambe was there, too, he's apparently going to be a traveler eventually as well! Poor guy looked pretty nervous when Lightbulb talked about it, though. You can tell that he wants to leave, but it seems that something is complicating his departure.
Heijitsu and I had a long conversation about our children. She's been worried about them, and I told her that they're perfectly able to take care of themselves, just like I was when I was a hatchling. I don't think that fully reassured her, though, and I don't know what to do to help her.
