Stheno hatched from an egg abandoned within the great boughs of Behemoth, the enormous tree growing within the Viridan Labyrinth. Growing up isolated from other dragons, with only nature and its creatures to guide her, she turned out strange, othered from her own kind by her peculiar ways of speaking and her unusual views of the world around her. She was only accepted upon revelation of her fascinating gift, special fluids churned up in her body that could heal others. Utilizing these powers to help the clans of the Nature Flight, she gained fame as the "Viridian Vein Sage", a title she wore with pride.

However, she disliked the way other dragons influenced her, and realized she was changing, drifting away from the wilds that had nurtured her. Stheno enjoyed helping other dragons, but she didn't want to leave that world behind, and so she retreated, creating a home hidden in the most dangerous parts of the Shrieking Wilds, where she could help those bold enough to seek her out, giving them vials of her healing fluids, but where she could avoid common interaction with all but a handful of dragons.

Stheno is deeply in touch with nature, speaking to plants and animals like they were dragons and acting as though she had received genuine responses, and she is socially odd around her own kind. She shows now embarrassment over this, nor is she shy- there is no shame in her oddities, and she scorns those who act like she should feel bad for them. She is quite bold, and speaks bluntly, and if you allow her to start a tangent, she can keep going for a long while.
