Frost churned the massive snowdrift below him with his paws. "Winter, I told you we went overboard this time. Do you believe me now?" The female coatl facing him made a sad expression. "Look, I'm sorry. It was a mistake, okay?" Frost sighed. "We both made a mistake. It wasn't just you." He looked around at the immediate surroundings, taking mental note of how keep the snow was... and that it was still coming down. "There isn't much we can do to stop the flurry once we've called it. We just have to wait for it to subside..." Winter didn't say or do anything for a few seconds. Then, she trudged over to the tree they stood next to and began to dig near its roots. "Love, what on earth are you doing?" Frost asked, befuddled. "Digging... us... a little... nest," she huffed between shoveling back pawfuls of snow. "I'd suggest you come help." Frost, still confused, joined in with her reluctantly. After a few minutes of digging, the both of them had managed to carve out a little hollow against the old oak's roots. Winter, relieved, sighed and plopped down in said hollow, curling her tail around her limbs and tenting her wings. "I know neither of us can be harmed by the cold, but... it's still nice to bundle up a bit, is it not?" Frost grinned, curling up under her wing after circling a few times and finding a comfortable position. "It is indeed. So, what... we wait for the snow to pass?" "I don't see why not. We're fairly far from our den, and we could both use the rest." "This is why I love you," Frost said with a purr. "You're so resourceful." Winter laughed. "I suppose so.
