—APPEARANCE—
Santangelo’s physical form was destroyed long ago, rotted by time. Nowadays, she appears as a sudden drop of the air temperature and a soft rush of static as the radio flickers to life. If you’re quiet, you might hear something beneath the buzzing…
—HISTORY—
Once, Santangelo was a scribe who sought to unravel all the mysteries Sornieth had to offer. Coming from a clan in Dragonhome whose numbers have dwindled since those days, she searched far and wide to find strange ruins, lonely places where the veil between the realm and the other planes thinned. Eventually, her curiosity was the end of her, and she was forgotten by all but the mysterious necromancer who attempted to resurrect her.
He failed. Her form was destroyed, and her spirit was trapped between Sornieth and the Elsewhere. Time passed, and she found herself bound to an object; a simple shortwave radio. This radio has been passed through the claws of many different dragons throughout the years since she was imprisoned in it. The cycle is simple; someone picks it up at a market or from a friend who insists it’s haunted, paying no heed to the warnings. Santangelo thinks, briefly, that maybe this time will be different. She reaches out, and is met with terror. The radio is passed into the claws of another.
Now, it’s in yours. As it flickers to life, you wonder just what you’ve gotten yourself into.
—ASSOCIATIONS—
Fierce warriors, wise mages, crafty rangers. These are the kinds of dragons Krosis raises from the earth. The Lord of Sorrow seeks to restore these creatures to the lives that were cut short, for the tragedy of their loss is too much for him to bear. However, Morokei, Lady of Glory, gravewarden and guardian of the thin space between the spirit and the body, does not make it easy for him. She seeks to preserve the balance between life and death, and the sanctity of the souls that used to reside in the bodies Krosis seeks to resurrect. As a result of their constant battles, the creatures usually return one of two ways; a specter of the being they used to be, only able to interact with the physical world through possession or the aid of a medium, or a new life in a slowly reforming body, with no memory of the person they once were. There are rare beings who are raised successfully, having both the soul and body of the original. Regardless, the creatures that crawl from the earth are strange and powerful.
