★★★ HISTORY
Mortarion grew up in Bone Field, raised by his mother. His twin, Nightstar was a bit like Mortarion's sidekick. When they went away to Jade Mountain Academy, the pair were even closer. Mortarion was popular with the other students, often getting into trouble and joking around with them. Mortarion's brother, Nightstar, was a bit of a outcast and didn't talk a lot, but he was close with Mortarion.

One day, the MudWings launched a attack on Jade Mountain Academy due to rising tensions between them and the other tribes. Many caves collasped, causing some dragons to get trapped under the rocks.

Mortarion managed to save 4 dragonets, and was considered the 'hero' of Jade Mountain. Nightstar was no where to be found, presumed dead. It wasn't until years later, when Mortarion was fighting in the war as a general in the RainWing-MudWing hybrid Army against the MudWings, that Mortarion saw Nightstar again. To his horror, Nightstar was fighting on the side of the MudWings.

Mortarion snuck into the MudWing Camp, finding Nightstar sitting on a cliff, watching the camp. Mortarion asked what Nightstar was doing, fighting alongside the MudWings, who killed many dragons. Nightstar whirled around, accusing Mortarion of leaving his to die while he saved the other dragons, and then pranced around like he was the hero. Mortarion said that the MudWings were killers Nightstar said that no matter what he did, dragons would still kill each other, dragons would still leave their siblings to die in a cave collaspe, and the war would go on. He claimed it made no sense to fight for the dragons who left his to die.

Mortarion asked if it made sense to fight for dragons who nearly killed his. Nightstar snarled, he stepped closer to Mortarion, stating that no one else tried to be a good dragon, so why should he? Even if that meant fighting on the side of murderers.

Mortarion and Nightstar got into a fight, Mortarion, terrified of losing his sister, attempted to gulit trip Nightstar into coming back, saying their parents missed his.

Nightstar just got even angrier, accusing Mortarion of never loving his in the first place, just using his as a pawn or a sidekick. Nightstar told Mortarion to leave, and Mortarion flew away, abandoning the army and becoming a Jester. He went back to Bone Field, and after the war ended, Mortarion discovered Nightstar was captured and to be in prison for the rest of his life. Sometimes Mortarion goes to visit, but it rarely goes well. A few years later, Mortarion was promoted and transferred to Leafwell to rule the city and its people along with several other dragons.
