Mirage made a promise to Merlot years ago, that Merlot would have a home with them if he ever needed one. Now Merlot has cashed in on that promise, and has moved into their clan, for better or for worse. He is a hard dragon to get along with, being very protective of his belongings and a little to good at holding others to their word. He takes debt collection very seriously, and almost everything he can do for someone will incur a debt. Everything from gathering resources for the group to watching a nest for a few minutes will mean he is owed something.

It's hard to spend time with Merlot without feeling like you've indebted yourself to him somehow, so no one tends to spend a lot of time around him. Mirage is almost an exception, as they do spend a lot of time with Merlot, but mostly they do this to bother him and not so much to be his friend. 		Golden Idol
