It was really an accident that Erin died anyway, right? So it was only fitting that it was an accident she came back. She was a deputy of the wharf before she died, and it didn't seem like death had changed much. Well, much aside from how much flesh she had on her body, but that wasn't anything some good mechanics couldn't fix. |

Erin was really far too young to be dying in the first place, but she thought she'd handled it pretty well, all things considered. Faced the bandits with a brave face, even after taking a couple crossbow shots for the trouble. The living again part was worse, 'cause it turns out that being alive again don't necessarily mean you get back all the bits that went missing when you were dead.
But it wasn't all bad (her mom always told her she was pragmatic- she had to be, being the oldest how she was). Metal was a lot sturdier than fur and flesh and bone, and Mallet was hanging out with her way more, and Vinnery actually talks to her now even though she didn't think they talked to anyone, and the Hellfire Pirates are actually super nice and it totally was an accident that that poor nice mage revived her, even though he kept apologizing when she didn't think he really had anything to apologize for. |
