You can't make this a utopia, Lizbeth. No matter how hard you try. If you perfect yourself, it will only end in pollution. Don't you know where you are, Lizbeth? Beware of the air you breathe. It is turning your head into mush and little stray flies. You can't talk to your Creator through your cat, Lizbeth. She will not contaminate you through feline means. All you can do is protect the child. Even if she smells of pus and rot and burning hair, she will be protected. This is your duty, Lizbeth. This is the only thing you are born to do besides live, and that becomes an afterthought.

The Cathedral's main Mire trainer, Lizbeth is also the psuedo-guardian of Charmeine, although the ageless child probably could take care of herself. Lizbeth is mostly there to make sure Charmeine doesn't ever get upset or uncomfortable, which she does with a steadfast determination.
