Background:

Once upon a time, there lived a young dragon by the name of Eris. The young dragon didn't have that many friends... Sooner or later her parents learned about this... Eris' father had decided to make a doll with different kinds of purple and orange fabric... Once the doll was finished, Eris' father gave the young dragon the doll... The doll had become one of Eris' friends, despite its lack of sentience. Eris gave the doll the name Patches, due to the numerous patches that were used to create it. Eris would play with Patches every single day she could. She would even tuck it in at night. Eris would continue playing with the doll until she was older...

When Eris became an adult, she found herself playing with Patches, less and less due to her studies in science and medicine... Eris felt bad for not being able to play with the friend she grew up with... She felt as if she were neglecting Patches... One day, after completing her studies, she decided to begin studying the art of magic and spell casting... With the help of her new studies, she decided to begin experimenting with Patches. With the power of science and magic, Eris had managed to bring her best friend to life. Patches was now a living, breathing Fae doll.

Eris was happy that all her work finally paid off. It took a while, but Eris had been able to teach Patches many different things, such as learning to talk and read. Patches, with the things Eris had taught them, had begun to learn more about the world around them and began meeting all sorts of other creatures and friends. This however is just the beginning.
