Torastrasza

This is my Story! This is the Story of a nameless dragon that met with his fate and greeted it with a hug. Listen young Hatchling, while we watch the Stars shining upon us. I’m a Skydancer Dragon, as you know and my Flight left me alone in the Woods of this World. You want to know more? Then I’m going to tell you.

As I said, my own Family, my own Flight left me alone in the Woods. Why you ask? Because I was day dreaming about a World that would change in an few dragonwing beats. It was a sunny day, with a nice temperature while I was wandering in the Woods. After a while I sat on a tree stump and watched some butterflies. I totally forgot the time and so it became evening soon, as three members of the Shadow Flight encountered me. I was still a very young Dragon and I couldn’t even have a chance against them, when a large red Shadow appeared. He saved my life in an instance and after I stopped shivering and shaking, I looked up to him. This was the first time I’ve met Korialstrasz – the Head of the Red Dragon Flight. A calm look on his face, he watched me for a few seconds and then asked me about my name. I never had one until then and so there was nothing I could have answered him.

Korialstrasz took a deep breath, while he was watching me and closed his eyes afterwards. A smaller dragon appeared and kept looking all around me. It was a female Mirror Dragon – that was the only race I knew beside my own. She had a worried look on her orange face and those two turquoise eyes never wandered away from my face. At first I was afraid, but afterwards I felt relieved that they where here. That female Dragon told me, that her name was Cielstrasza and that she was the prime consort of the Red Dragon Flight Head. They where after the Shadow Flight Members for a few days now, because they wanted to avenge their killed Hatchlings. So they came across me. I told them that my Flight would be here somewhere and we went looking for them. All we could find where their dead bodies. The Shadow Flight Members killed them all. I was standing in front of a World that was precious to me just a while before and was in ashes and dust now. A bloodcurdling cry came out of my jaws after I realized that I would never see them again. Cielstrasza stood next to me, trying to calm me with her wings, but I was so sad that I didn’t want her to be near. I now know that she felt my sadness as she knew how I was feeling. I ran to my family members. I tried to wake them up, but nothing what I did was working. They stood dead.

Some hours later I was lying in the dirt with no energy to go further. This was the Time when Korialstrasz came to me. He wasn’t ever a Dragon of many words, but he sat next to me while he was watching my tired body. “Listen, young Dragonwelp. The Things you’ve seen today are the reason the Red Dragon Flight exists. Those Things are the reason why we want to protect, what is important to us! We are fighting those unworthy beings that are only willing to kill peaceful Dragonflights. So stand up, little Dragonwelp and let us show you how much worth is behind my words! Tell me, Dragonwelp, what is your name!”

I barely looked up at him, because his words reached me a bit in my sadness. The truth was, I got no name. “I don’t have a name…Lord of the Red Dragon Flight…I never had one. My dear Parents wanted to give me my Name in a ceremony! But…”, I murmured after a sigh came out of my mouth. He was still keeping an eye on me while I was speaking and now I could see Cielstraszas worried look in the corner of my eye. Korialstrasz looked at her for an instance but then right back at me. “From this Day on, little Dragonwelp, your Name should be Torastrasza – the blue Ranger of the Red Dragonflight and Descendant of the Blue Dragonflight.”

So this was the day I was named Torastrasza and the day I took the decision to follow Korialstrasz and Cielstrasza. This is the fate, that I must bear.
