Biography
It was from the clutch of death, That he should have never taken a breath. The one that was never truly born, So he will always be forlorn. Cursed to roam the planes as a specter, He will never know the joy of life’s nectar. Oh, how he yearns for mortality, Any form of actuality. |
Mors
The concept of death having a child is something of a paradox. Death should not be able to create life. Nebet-het and Suetekh watched over their new clutch of eggs, both parents aching to see these hatchlings survive.
Mere seconds later Mors opened his eyes and with a thrust of his snout broke free from his egg. The first thing that he noticed was that parts of his body were ethereal. He was not exactly completely solid. His body was spotted in patches of glowing green spectral essence. Mors had actually died in his egg but by some power he came back as half-living. He took a moment to listen. There was an eerie silence that seemed to, if it was at all possible, emanate from him. Mors realized that he had no heartbeat. In all forms, Mors should not be present in this realm and he could feel discomfort in that fact. The days after his hatching moved slowly. Mors had to learn that he could not simply walk like other hatchlings. All of his limbs were simply ghostly extensions, so in order to move he had to master the art of floating. It would take weeks for him to fully understand what should have been the most simplest of tasks. However, Mors was determined. He would not allow this small setback to stop him. He would survive. He would figure out a way to live. |
