Amarus and Iantus spent much of their youth farmers in the Gladeveins. Eager to capitalize on their (literal) green thumbs the couple found their way to the Refuge, the deep, dark environment they found here proving itself to be an inspiring challenge for the pair.
It took them a couple of years to get things going, and nearly a decade after that to produce worthwhile results, but they persevered and have since established themselves as experts in how to manipulate to Refuge's environment to one's advantage.
Their "farm" is known as the Valley to the denizens of the Refuge. Ironically the chamber full of growth is located in the depths of the Zenith, as that was the only place they could find a vacant space large enough to put to good use. Cold, dark and remote, the location was a challenge at first, but with the Palantir's aid they managed to create a reliable network of artificial light bright enough to allow adequate energy for an array of plantlife from Sornieth's surface. The cavern, expanded now into two smaller chambers that branch off from the main, is the brightest place to be found in the Refuge's depths, and produces a steady, if humble, yield of fruits and vegetables for Clan's Ogygia's consumption.
