Biography

Full of flair and with a keen eye for value, Xeroioa is a trained assessor who drives a harder bargain than his demeanor would let on. Jewelry and precious stones are his passion, and he adores pearls. Also an avid collector, he wears his finest finds alongside pieces made himself, a constant display of fabulous taste. ‘Too much’ is for amateurs, and while his best pieces get offers, he’s not going to trade.

His collection of pearls is his greatest pride, though he doesn’t often mention the details. If the finest pearls are made by pearlcatchers, and those happen to wind up as trade goods, who is he to turn up his nose? The small ones are especially eye catching, and he pays well for them. How the seller acquired them is none of his business, he never asks for the source, only the price.

When he set eyes on Kyrla, he knew it was love. Such a fine, elegant creature she is, and he immediately joined up with the Clan of the Blue Maiden to get close to her. One of these days she’ll see just how fantastic he is, and respond to his advances. He’s positive it’s only a matter of time, she’s playing hard to get. That or she’s intimidated by how grand he is. Either way, he’ll get her in the end.

While he waits for his affections to be returned, Xeroioa is hardly idle, nor does he freeload. For the clan, he handles high-end mercantile deals, though he would never label himself as a merchant, far too low-class a role. Trading for exquisite product and making sure they always come out ahead, Xeroioa keeps an ear out for new lines of supplies, often the first to capitalize on strange, unique sources. No reward without risk, and more than one of his gambles has paid off.

Being in the Blue Maiden has worked in his favor; Mellany, Aenivath, and Quelithice have provided him with ample new contacts, and he rewards them with special trinkets. Even better, his business partnership with Seb, who has given him a line on more than one lead to expanding his special collection.
