Fortune's Fool
who wrote everybody's fortunes on April 1st? this trickster!
he's been cursed with eternal life for stealing words right out of the Arcanist's mouth. So now he sends words of luck and misfortune to dragons yearly for his own amusement. The ultimate hubris of the con-artist, he likes to say.
Chicane was a devious dragon, with an endless lust for power a couple of centuries ago. Nowadays, he's content with small-time scams, tricks, and selling "essential oils" that cure "astrology sign issues," also known as snake oil. He doesn't like other snake oil sellers, though, so Willow and Ruvyn have decided to compromise with him-- as long as what he sells is reasonably priced, doesn't hurt his customers, and he keeps driving off other scammers, they'll leave his shady business alone.
Better the devil they know, after all.
