Theory

Theo is a painter. He is quiet and introverted, sometimes difficult to read. He is extremely loyal, and is quietly but firmly dedicated to his few strong relationships in the clan. Secretly, he's a bit of a romantic, and longs to have a mate to share his deepest thoughts with, but he just hasn't found the right dragon yet.

His father, Dew, had lost many mates and children before, and decided that with his next hatchlings, he would take no chances. He bred with a skydancer who agreed to his arrangement, and once the eggs were laid, he gathered them up and flew to his home cavern to raise them on his own. Theo has never met his mother. His father barely even acknowledges that Theo has one at all. Although his father is loving and supportive and all the a father should be, Theo sometimes feels lost, and wonders, what was her name? What did she look like? Am I at all like her? Would she be proud of me?
As a hatchling, Theo had a bright, alert air about him, as he matured, his eyes became more and more sad. Nobody can say why, except perhaps Theo, but it's not exactly the kind of thing somebody can ask.

He grew up fiercely protected, by his father, his rough and tumble older brother Harry, and everybody else in the clan, determined not to let anything happen to Dew's obviously beloved children. For the same reasons they were kept close to the clan, even if Theo held in his heart a small silent feather of a wish to just spread his wings and fly away.

In his own way, he almost resents that he did not have the chance to make his own name for himself. In the clan he knows he will always be "Dew's son, the painter," first and "Theo the painter" second. Although his older brother Harry is blatantly proud, even arrogant much of the time, in this Theo reveals an equally valid sense of pride of his own.

Although Theo has many people he loves who love him in turn, including his father and wild older brother, he is quiet and thoughtful, and often prefers solitude to the lively hustle and bustle of his extremely warm and familial lair. Theo feels most at home in the garden of the lair, painting with his brushes and talons until he's exhausted and covered in paint, and eventually falls asleep with brushes in hand.

The southern ice fields have been inspirational to Theo in his artwork, and he lived there for a few months once, working though a huge artist's block. Although he's returned to arcane, he will occasionally still visit the ice fields to visit the clan that hosted him.

Bio written by Eyelet. Additions regarding Theo's current home may be made once I have written my general clan lore and made other lore for my personal dragon collection, but Theo the painter will remain as he is. This is the origin of 'theory', in fact, a name that could easily have been given to any of my dragons but went to Theo as all is changed is the addition of two letters. No plans are in place to remove Theo from clan. If plans change, he will return to Eyelet.
