Sagan's grandchild. He was taking initiative to look for Momoka and possibly the other members of the clan that went out to find her, and instead found a psuedospiral as it expired and partly melted into the swamp.

He was sent to survey the changing landscape with Kaj. He wanted to escape so he could go back to searching for Momoka, but was not given the chance to do so. He is now biding his time.

He intervened during the fight against Momoka. He remembered overhearing a strategy meeting in which he overheard some of the secrets of Momoka's masks. It was this knowledge he was applying when he swapped Momoka's mask during the combat.
He knows that Yuelia is not happy with him, but he is prepared to defend himself if necessary. Freedom is merely content that they were able to find and rescue Momoka.

Freedom stayed in his cabin during the pseudospiral attack on the ferry, intent on protecting Momoka. He used his magic to try blasting them from a distance, although his nature energies seemed to barely affect them.
