Born to traveling dragons in the Windswept Plateau, the young Spiral was the only one of his siblings to survive. When his parents went their separate ways back to their own territories, the hatchling followed his father into the icy domain of the Southern Icefields. It was there that the pair got separated and the young dragon was left to wander the Floes on his own in hopes of finding either his father or a friendly clan to take him in. By chance he found himself a fledgling clan who welcomed him with open arms and brought him into their midst.

For a while the young spiral was happy with another young spiral of similar colours in the clan named Zuckerstrange. The pair grew close, having several nests before Zuckerstrange chose to leave the clan and travel to serve the Arcanist. Brokenhearted, Naneruhu took to making candy out of various plants and insects, choosing the sell them. Much to his surprise, soon another young Spiral joined the clan sporting the name of his former mate. Taking it as a sign of fate, he sought out to impress her and made her his mate. Teaching her the way of making candy, he tends to market it more these days, selling what they make together and what she makes exclusively.

Though few have ever asked his name means Peppermint, a fitting tribute to a candymaker.
