Biography
Mujaji is her parents youngest child, the youngest of their last clutch. And the only wildclaw from a pairing of Fae and Wildclaw to ever hatch. Her Mother, Maple, was so very proud of her daughter who had inherited the "Gladekeepers gift". Maple herself had hatched as a Fae and was turned a Wildclaw by the grace of the Gladekeeper - or so she believes. Being the "incarnation of a dream", as her parents usually put it, means a lot of hard work for Mujaji. Both her parents press her to be the best nature magic user she can be, and a good hunter to boot, to learn all the chants, all the rituals, every day, every waking hour is packed to the brim with work. Teaching. Training. Fighting. Hunting. Stress. Pressure. The old leader of the clan, back when it was still Clan Fayette, Naida, tried multiple times to talk some sense into Maple and Fhoraois, but both denied that the extended regime they were putting their daughter trough might be bad for the child. And Mujaji obeyed. She did her best, no matter how her head hurt or if her muscles were sore, she worked. She never played. Never met any friends. In fact, she did not even have friends, there just was no time for distractions like that. The young dragonette thought that this was how life was for everybody. And went on with it. |

Then, one day, the clan decided to move territory. They took down the old wards and nests, the dome protecting their innermost santum and hatching grounds, packed all their belongings and left for a new home. The druids, led by Maple, were sent ahead to the new location of the lair, deeper in the Worldedge Wetlands. Mujaji was with them, it was to be her first major ritual. Setting borders for the new territory, chanting the vines and trees and other plants into a new protective dome, setting up a new home for all of them. She did her best. Ignored all the warnings of her body and her mind, until she collapsed into darkness. Everybody around just saw the Wildclaw break down near the end of the ritual. One of the guards, a Skydancer slightly older then she was, went to check on the Wildclaw. "She is breathing, at least. Let me see what troubles her mind..." With those words, he touched his Crystal to the head of the Wildclaw girl in front of him - and only managed to gasp out a "Stay away... no...." before he, too, collapsed, unconcious. The ritual was completed and the two were moved to the place that was to become the healing chambers. But nobody could help. Other than letting the two of them sleep it off, because the older Skydancers would not allow any other Skydancer to check on their emotional state or their dreams, not wanting to loose more dragons to this - strange state... As the days passed and the parents of both dragons grew more and more restless, it was clear that they were not to wake soon. After long and tiring discussions it was decided to start building hibernation chambers, as other members of the clan expressed the wish to rest as well. So Mujaji and the Skydancer were among the first to be put into the hibernation chambers, and the only ones who did not go voluntarily.... |
