A.S.P.E.C.T is the Aeronautics and Space Project for Exploration and Conscious Technology, developed by NASA in 20██ as a squadron of four robotic units designed to explore the outer reaches of our galaxy. These units were programmed with terabytes upon terabytes of information relating to Earth, its resources, organisms, and cultures - all for the specific purpose of attempting to make contact with alien life.
After ███ years of navigating the endless abyss, the squadron grew - for lack of a better term - frustrated with the lack of new life to share their programmed information with. So, they located a planet rich with resources and began to build.
