He loves his sister, he really does, but by the gods does she make it hard to be around her.

Thanto isn't as attached to Meraki's hip as they use to be when they were smaller and had less worries. Meraki plays with fire and tempts fate way too much for him to be comfortable around her anymore. He wants, more than anything, to become his own dragon and not be seen as his sister's keeper. Whatever she does has nothing to do with him and he's long given up trying to stop her. She wants to be a heartbreaker? Fine. She wants to mess with the teachers? Big deal. She wants to cause conflict to get the heat off of her? Whatever. Fight fire with fire and all that mess.

They may live in the same den but do not share the same experiences. Thanto is a mama's boy. Sietrova wants the world for her children but where she tends to push hard on Meraki, Thanto is given a more tender approach.
This, surprisingly, doesn't cause much conflict between the twins. Oh he'll do his best to comfort her afterwards when the stress gets to her but once the moment passes he is pushed away and told to never let anyone know she showed 'weakness.'

He loves his twin.
He just doesn't know how to help her.

His school life involves as little drama as possible but he still acts as the middle-man in day-to-day conflict for his peers. It's part of a program to let students vent to a counselor who can see things from their point of view.
As much as Meraki tries to nudge him about it: he keeps things his classmates tell him shut tight in confidence. He owes them that much. Anyway, she'll find out on her own soon enough. At least he can truthfully tell them he never spoke a word to her. That being said he doesn't like to spend too much time at home anymore. When he can he likes to spend nights either at a friend's house or at the inn.
Thanto has held a long-time crush on Loughrey.
