Orchid

Orchid was a child born in the worst of conditions. While her mother laid there bleeding out at the caves mouth. The stars looked upon the dying, and with half a life left in each of them, Orchid’s mother prayed out to the world above and the constellations reached down and twisted out her remaining flame and placed it into Orchid’s.

Her body filled with a painful heat she stood fully formed, her wings dripped in starlight and her blood mixing with dust. She stood up half a life already used, she would continue on as something between nothing and personhood.

Spending half her time as a mortal running and dancing. And the other time as stars spread out and flying through the sky.
