23823.png It was summer when Skye heard the wind calling her. The warm breeze blew past her face as she glided along the top of the clouds.

Looking up at the blinding sun she felt a strange sensation in her chest. Changing her direction she tilted her body up and flapped her wings, ready to make her ascent.

Up and up she climbed, determined to reach the place that was calling her. Soon the air grew cold and the air thin, making it hard to breathe. But still she pressed on.

The sun seemed to grow brighter, as if it were shining through her. It felt as if the rays were breaking her very skin, cracking her scales apart. But still, she pressed on.

Skye didn't remember falling. It was most likely from lack of oxygen in the high altitudes. No one knows how she survived. But when she woke up, there were strange yellow cracks all over her body - a sign it had not been a dream.

To this day she dreams of reaching that nirvana that had called her. But until she is stronger, she will have to make do with the ground she now resides on.
