First Impressions Looking up at the stars, the night sky radiating like thousands of fireflies soaring through the cosmos; lighting up the sky with their mesmerising glow. A sea of jellyfish that circle the centre of the universe; merging themselves with others and splitting into new life. This being, just like the sky; a cosmos of light and future. A kaleidoscope of predictions. A prophet for all. All travel to this forest to experience the wonders it holds. The most popular of tales is an angel who can see your future and all the possibilities you can form for it. The alternate life you could live from just a stick breaking. The better lives people could live with this knowledge. That's why it is forbidden to enter that world. Facing the gods like this with a proposition of pure selfishness will place you in the afterlife a lot faster than you’d prefer. But that never stopped the desperate attempts to survive through that realm to reach that angel. By Hazelgem

A Myth Most dragons are simple creatures, bound to a flight and loyal to their deity till their last breath. However, CosmicFlame is a different case, angelic in the eyes of the woods and its denizens with many having awaited their presence for eons. CosmicFlame could be considered a deity themselves, though rather than having an entire flight to rule over, they instead dedicate themselves to maintaining the Mystical Forest and ensuring its inhabitants are provided safety and guidance. The dragon of prophecy, their subjects consider them an angel who descended from the starry heavens. Many a dragon have tried to brave the woods to meet this dragon, whether it be to receive answers on how they can change the course of their lives or perhaps just seeking knowledge on what will become of the world long after they’ve departed. Regardless of what you seek, be wary; fate cannot be changed, and approaching CosmicFlame with dubious intentions may just result in your journey being cut short. By cherrykitkat

“Sunny… That’s just fire burning through everything in the sky,” Calianth muses. “Fire that takes over everything and leaves nothing behind.” Hm. He considers it— it’s not that Fire hasn’t had a lot of interesting tools to give out over the years, nor that they don’t have plenty of creatures in their clan who can control fire— but perhaps he shouldn’t be the one doing this. Just perhaps.

CosmicFlame stares utterly blankly at his clan leader who’s come to ask him to burn a part of the snow and clouds away. Calianth really seems to think it’s just that simple. And he’s come to ask him in particular simply because of the obvious evidence of fire’s blessing. Nothing else. Nothing more. As he does every so often, CosmicFlame considers how much— or rather, how little— the leaders of this clan seem to know.

This— the ridiculous request to burn a part of the snow and clouds away— is the first thing his leader, that anyone in this clan, has ever asked of him. He’s allowed to stay here simply because he’s pretty. Every time he talks to the leading trio, that becomes more clear. They don’t know what he is. CosmicFlame doesn’t think they’d ever be able to guess. The Mirror talking to him now clearly doesn’t even understand what magic can do. It’s such a ridiculous request, seemingly made on a whim due to someone’s challenge from inside the snowstorm…

Ah. Such a request made with such simple motives is hard to turn away. CosmicFlame sighs and acquiesces. If that’s what the kindhearted fool who took him in wants him to do, do it he will. The flames always surrounding him blaze higher and hotter as he steps into the edge of the blizzard. He does not feel cold. The clouds’ and snow’s best efforts cannot extinguish him. The fire blazes out from him to melt the snow and reaches up to the sky to chase some of the clouds away.

Once upon a time, he had been worshiped as a divine creature. Now… he is tired of prayers, of pleading, of hearing tragic stories from those who beg him for help day in and day out, of people wanting him only for his power. But if it’s a ridiculous request from a dragon who knows nothing about what he is, burning the edge of a blizzard to make the sun shine brightly down… is fine.
