Argo

______Something of a rare sight within Felhallow. Argo is a wanderer, travelling here, there and everywhere. Although there have been offers to put him up permanently in the city, he never stays more than a few weeks before leaving again. Rumours and whispers seem to follow him wherever he goes. They say he’s a former prince. No, he’s the son of a influential family that fell from grace. Or maybe the family didn’t fall from grace, but simply went into hiding somewhere. No one’s quite sure what the reason is, or even if the family actually exists. But that’s the nature of rumours. They take on a life of their own, even if the individual at the center of those very rumours doesn’t wish them to.

______ That being said, Argo doesn’t really care about the rumours. It’s just talk, when all is said and done. And it isn’t as if his reputation is being tarnished. He’s still free to go where he likes, without repercussions, which is all he wants really.

______ A talented storyteller. On his travels he’s collected many folklore tales and legends, which he usually adds his own details to. A bit of lying about history here and there never hurt anyone, after all. His stories and songs are usually the comforting types told round a blazing fire at night. In fact, he’s pretty popular with families for this very reason.

______ He’d never really thought about finding a partner before. A life spent wandering around Sornieth doesn’t leave much room for romance. Oh, there had been others who’d shown an interest in him, but he’d never reciprocated their feelings. Crushes were a waste of time. Why bother pining for someone who might not feel the same way? Seems like a silly thing to do as far as he’s concerned. But the thing about opinions is that they can change. And sometimes…they might just lead to a far different conclusion.

______ Argo had been walking one of the overgrown paths leading to the city one evening. Though he knew the forest (and its pathways) well, there seemed to be something different. A change in the atmosphere, perhaps. Something sent a prickle of…fear or excitement down his spine. He couldn’t say what it was, but upon catching a glimmer of something through the trees, he decided to go investigate. Maybe it would give him material for a new story.


_____ What he found wasn’t what he expected. Another Imperial, golden feathered wings and scales shining in the setting sun, stood there, facing away from him.
