Biography
No one knows where Vohrear came from. He came to the clan on the day of the old plague priest's exalting ceremony and stated that he would be replacing the priest. People reacted with shock and anger, as a total stranger walking in and appointing himself in such a high role was absurd. The crowds were calmed when the old priest cried out that the stranger was right. The strange dragon was right and should be anointed high divine after their exalting ceremony. The clan was shocked but trusted the old priest, and soon after they were exalted, Vohrear became the clan's next plague priest. This left the clan in a state of confusion. As the priest of plague, he is also the clan's doctor, but few dragons initially trusted Vohrear to take care of them. It doesn't help that Vohrear immediately isolated himself from the rest of the clan. After his controversy, he spent his days cooped up in his home, avoiding the population of gossiping dragons. Some say Vohrear intentionally neglected his duties as a doctor, and some say he scared away people from his care, but no one says the rift between him and the public is accidental. Heavily reluctant to turn to Vohrear for medical services, dragons soon realized they had no one to cure their wounds or illnesses. While no major plagues have broken out in the clan, this had long-lasting problems. Dragons of the hunt who got injured on the job could not return to the job, making the already risky job more unstable. The priest Airi sustained a massive injury, and people speculate about how it may affect the priest's abilities and the clan's relationship with Stormbringer. An underground group of dragons has started up of dragons trying to teach themselves the medical trade with varying degrees of success. Most dragons find the endeavor hopeless, but most dragons also immediately turn to them if any misfortune befalls them. As for Vohrear himself, he spends most of his days in his lavish den, given to him as the designated home of the current plague priest. |
