This dragon was seized by the Exultant Order as a hatchling, having been deemed worthy of continued existence in the mortal realm. They are now both ward and hostage of the Order, to be ransomed to other clans in exchange for riches or other prisoners more suited to the service of the Ones Apart. Despite having been stolen or orphaned by the Order, they have been raised with gentleness and the knowledge of the Order’s tenets, though they have been excluded from the rituals reserved for those born into clan. Did this upbringing instill within them gratitude or resentment, comfort or terror? That much is for another to decide…
