Biography

Mimd once found a young spiral dragon from the Plague flight unattended. She then found the clan the hatchling belonged to and sent a letter expressing her concerns regarding the hatchling's wellbeing: The child was less then a week old, yet he was left to wander unprotected. He made his way all the way to her cave in Dragonhome, unprotected and alone. The poor thing could have died.

The clan leader arrived to retrieve the spiral and did so with little fanfare. They mumbled insults to the hatchling as they carried him away. Frustrated, Mimd stopped the leader and asked "Excuse me, did you read the letter? This boy could have DIED!"

The disgruntled mirror eyed her judgmentally. "I don't care what happens to them, that's the Plaguebringer's business."

"What? What do you mean?"

Their eyelids lowered. "We get hatchlings. We raise them. We send them to the Plaguebringer to be her servants." A smug grin grew across the mirror's face. "We don't even name the things. It's more efficient that way."

"Wha-..." Mimd stared in disbelief. To be proud of one's lack of compassion, it was unthinkable. No different from being proud of one's laziness, one's unreliability, in Mimd's eyes.

"It's a plague thing, you wouldn't understand." The mirror said dryly before beginning to walk away again.

"..."

"I was under the impression that plaugelings celebrated death, not arrogance." Mimd spoke sternly.

The mirror ignored her.

"Can I at least buy him from you?!"

"Nope. He's ours, lady." The mirror said with a chuckle.

Mimd whipped around and flew over to the mirror, who spun around in shock. When the dust settled, she stared them dead in the eyes and stated bluntly "Name your price."

The mirror's stunned expression turned into a furrowed look. "He's ours, just like the other hundreds of little worms we got right now. If you had come to us instead, you'd've seen the sign we got posted outside our den: 'They aren't for sale, so don't. ask.' If we wanna sell them, we sell them. If we wanna send them away, we send them away. Do you know what 'Ours' means?"

Mimd's wide-eyed fury, the same fury that led to her being outcasted from her home, was present in full force.

"You are self centered, and no self centered dragon like you works that hard to impress their deity over a desire to serve them well. No matter how many hatchlings you neglect for the Plaguebringer, you will still be one of her thousands of subjects. You are no better than any other plagueling, and your belief that you are somehow better than others because of your revolving door of innocent lives being brainwashed for a deity you don't value above yourself is more repulsive than the pustules that grow upon your doorstep. I hope the Plaguebringer finds your shallow devotion humorous, for then you may claim at least one good deed in your many insolent cruelties."

The mirror stood still, mouth agape as if to speak, but with no time to find words.

"Now since you're so busy--" Mimd flew up, grabbing the mirror and the hatchling in one foot. "--YOU SHOULD HEAD BACK TO THE CESSPOOL WHERE YOU BELONG!!" She shouted while flinging them straight towards the Scarred Wasteland with her full strength.

Mimd let her emotions get the best of her again. She knew that there was no way she could show her face in her old den after that outburst...

To her surprise, however, she received a letter from a strange aberration named "Heart and Star". The leaders of the clan Harmonius heard of her altercation with the mirror and found her passion and outspokenness admirable.

Now, she is a guardian of our clan, protector of our hatchlings, and a beloved friend.
