Magena is one of four quadruplets, and considers herself the oldest out of all her siblings. When she was born, she was considered a bad omen by her mother, Minuit, and was thus named Magena, marking her as a sinister force in her home clan.

Upon maturing, she left the clan, to forge her own path in life alongside her sisters. She's quite adventurous, having traveled all over the Tangled Wood, and she has yet to see more of Sornieth. Magena is quite musical as well, having learned to play a lute at a young age. Thus, she considers herself a bit of a traveling bard.

She hopes one day to travel the entirety of Sornieth, though she is well aware of the Dominance and how she could get involved in war, so she's decided to (reluctantly) take up residence in the Astravallen Institute and is using it as her base of operations alongside her sisters. She thinks it's an alright place.

Though she misses the Night Court and Moon Court that she originated from, she's certain that she'd be better off outside of all of it because of the omen she feels like she represents to those people. She gets discouraged and disheartened when she thinks about it, and tries to keep her head up. She's given herself the role of the Questkeeper because she's constantly looking for ways to challenge herself and others around her to build up her (and their) strength. She spends most of her time in the Courtyard, playing her instrument.
