Mael was no exception to this rule, and although he lacked a particular fondness for trickery that his ticket out of the chill, Katri possessed, he was capable of recognizing a good opportunity when he could cling to it. Of course, like any member of the Styx, he still has a job to do. Specializing in ice magic, Mael focuses on the preservation of the Casino's architecture since he's unable to apply himself physically to its construction. Although he had a very brief stay within the Icewarden's domain in order to learn his native magic properly, he finds his self-taught method good enough. More importantly, so does Katri.
