Aspidiske

Deep in the Wyrmwound, a sliver of power from the Earthshaker remained, dormant, for centuries. But with the reemergence of the Obelisks, the leylines of Sornieth experienced a surge of power, repairing long shattered lines with the magic of the Earthshaker. The sliver of his power in the Wyrmwound awoke in an agonizing half-life, buried deep beneath the ground, one portion of their body carved in unmoving stone, the other pulled into existence with the rest of their obelisk brethren.

Months later, when the Aberrations flooded from the Wyrmwound in a new wash of power, this time from a long forgotten age of the Plaguebringer, relief was brought to the one stuck so far below. Cold stone soon flushed fever hot with life, and they were now forced to deal with the integration of a new mind to theirs, so foreign in their elemental essence, and yet so strangely familiar.

Aspidiske spent their time clawing their way up from the depths convalescing, seeking something unknown to them. Memories, perhaps? But once the surface was breached, and no further answer given, they decided to find their answers.
