______ Petalbreeze doesn’t speak; the result of a skirmish between the harpy Beastclans and her birth clan where her tongue was torn out. She’s become quite adept at communicating through facial expression and body language, however - to the point where she almost doesn’t need words, as welcome as they’d be. Unfortunately, in a clan of scholars who prized discourse, being unable to speak was simply unacceptable, and Petalbreeze soon found herself ‘on the streets’ so to speak, cast out to fend for herself.

______ The Skydancer went on a vengeance spree, slaughtering every Beastclan member unlucky enough to be in her sights, and was actually hunting Maren in the Viridian Labyrinth when she collided with Tulii in the process. The Coatl was able to talk her down, and convince her to at least come to the clan’s lair to rest. It was clear Petalbreeze hadn’t been taking care of herself, focused solely on vengeance, and Tulii at least wanted to provide some healing. Or rather, get Tamua to provide some healing, but you get the idea.

______ It wasn’t easy - Petalbreeze didn’t want to listen, didn’t want to stop her crusade. But after seeing dragons of so many flights and species coexisting together, arguing and laughing and happy, she broke down in tears. The Skydancer has stayed with the Thornspeakers ever since.

______ Taking care of a familiar was actually Sirocco’s idea; giving Petalbreeze something to nurture rather than destroy, to prove to herself that she could still in fact care for something held entirely at her mercy. Petalbreeze's healing has been slow going, but she’s been healing nonetheless. It helps that crabs are relatively easy to take care of. Baby steps. Though when their lair was attacked prior to the exodus, that didn't stop Petalbreeze's inner murderer from coming out with a vengeance.
