Dragon Log

11-16-14: Came to the Clan from another Arcane lair, and immediately started to try to take over as top Coatl... it does not look like he and Quartz will get on that well...

12-1-14: He is still trying to decide where he fits in the hierarchy, but in the meantime, he has passed a milestone that even some older dragons have not yet conquered: he has chosen his name! After much thought, he decided to name himself after a lesser known gem than most, but still extremely precious.... perhaps he is trying to say something about himself?

1-24-15: Carnelian was interested in the Coatl Hatchery Project from the beginning, and has eagerly joined the group....

2-13-15: As the time winds down to the first choosing, Carnelian is not garnering much interest from the female Coatls....but he still finds ways to amuse himself. His Basilisk friend has been a great help with this, and they have shared many adventures together. All that wandering and fighting has paid off, as the Basilisk has now Awakened! Carnelian is extremely excited for his friend.....

3-10-15: The Basilisk is tired, and has decided to rest in the back of the caves for a while. Carnelian well understands his friend's need to recover after their latest adventure, and is getting to know a new friend who is just as daring. The Painted Centaur seems unsure about this situation, but willing to give the relationship--and the wanderings--a try....

6-8-15: Progressing from a being slightly wary of long journeys to a much bolder adventurer, the Painted Centaur has Awakened at last into his true potential as both an explorer and a friend. Carnelian is happy with both improvements....

6-17-15: Carnelian is, at the moment, in a state of pleasant shock: Not only was he chosen during the second round of the Hatchery Project, he now has 3 eggs to look after! He still can't believe his luck....

6-28-15: Carnelian has decided to leave off wandering for a bit, to enjoy his two daughters. He still cannot believe that his son left home while he was away.....

9-6-15: Shortly after the Flameforger's Festival, Carnelian was exploring the hoard when he saw some interesting jewelry pieces... it is not quite his Focus Stone, but the Teardrop Ruby Pendant will do for his magic for now, until he can find something better... and the Teardrop Ruby Ring makes an excellent Seal Ring...

10-7-16: After a long wait, Glade, Carnelian's youngest, has finally decided what to do with herself: she has moved into another Clan! Carnelian wishes her well in her new home, and hopes that she will find a place to settle at last...

10-12-16: Carnelian's oldest hatchling has decided to follow in her sister's footsteps--but she has wandered much farther afield, finding a home for herself in Water Flight....

10-3-18: Recently, the Clan has been experiencing an odd phenomenon, apparently linked to the magic expenditure of dragons in the lair. Carnelian has a suspicion that the appearance of these odd "halos" may be linked to the same magical surge that caused crystals to grow in the Isles, and a volcano to appear unexpectedly in the Fire area. Whatever the reason, he was quite pleased to discover that his own experiments in broadening his magical prowess have resulted in a Conflagrant Halo appearing around his head as well. He is certain it makes him look even more distinguished and handsome than he was before.....

6-13-20: Carnelian was rather startled today to discover that the magical phenomena occurring the Lair have not, in fact ended. Today a Spellwrought Halo abruptly joined the Conflagrant Halo already around him. Perhaps his innate Arcane magic is growing stronger? This is something he must certainly explore...
