Born in the frozen realms of the Icewarden, Siryoku never knew what the white, frigid expanse she called home truly looked like. Born blind, she was different from other dragons. Instead of the bleak and icy landscape they saw, she created her own world of color. The cold, crunching snow beneath her feet was orange. The snowflakes that fell on her head were soft violet. The gentle humming voice of her mother in her native tongue was a rumbling, deep blue. Sadness was a dark grey; happiness a bright, light yellow. Her excitement was green, her anger red. All of these colors she saw and tried so hard to explain, but they couldn't understand. They could only see the white snow and the blue-grey skies. So she learnt to sing. She sung of all the things she saw that the other dragons couldn't. The soft yellow chirps of feathered birds in the morning, the sweet pale green of the cool morning breeze. The other dragons were enamored and entranced by her song, often gathering in groups to listen.

Soon after, the young Imperial decided to travel the realm, passing through the different lands and experiencing their wonders. She set off, seeing and feeling colors far more vibrant than she had ever imagined. She sung wherever she went for many months, only stopping to rest briefly in the lair of a water clan that bordered the Windswept plateau on her way back home. Treated like family, Siryoku stayed for many months, listening to the tales of all the dragons who passed through on their way to other places. In her heart she knew however, that she could never leave behind the beauty of the Southern Icefield that she called home.
