Cypress

Cypress loved the Earth Flight.

That was a fact that anyone who’d spent more than 5 minutes with him would no. He was loud and passionate about it, enough so that he’d often get a lot of questions and subtle remarks about how his life was, staying here, and why he didn’t just leave.

In truth, he didn’t hate this life. He loved the Earth Flight, sure, but not enough to give up this life to return. There was a reason why he’d left in the first place — a reason not directed at the Earth Flight itself, but rather what was awaiting him in its domain.

Cowards were no fools, and while Cypress may be over those days, his instincts sometimes weren’t. Perhaps that was why he stuck close to Misu over anyone else; sure, they might not understand the full thing, but at least they knew.
