Diet:

A handful of feathers was all the evidence remaining that BushelBerry once used to be a different breed of dragon. He cherished these feathers, his only connection to his past. When he awoke in the clearing, and shook off the excess Arcane ashes, he awoke as if born entirely anew from the aether. He possessed no memories at all. He couldn't recall his own name, let alone anything else. He felt quite lost for a while.

Shortly after reforming, he met Raffaello, who said he was this clan's leader. Raffaello kept trying to tell BushelBerry about his past self, but to no avail. Not because BushelBerry wasn't eager to know, rather because the knowledge wouldn't stick. It was like BushelBerry's entire being rejected the knowledge. Each time they tried, BushelBerry woke up the next day having forgotten again. He'd remember that they had talked, and knew it had been about his past, but anything Raffaello had actually told him would be gone. And whenever he or Raffaello tried to write it down, so BushelBerry could read and reread his own history whenever he wanted, the words just disappeared from the pages. He could write about anything or anyone else, just not himself.

Inventory:

When he first realised that his entire personal history would be gone to him forever, BushelBerry took it quite hard. He cried, he screamed. He didn't know what to do with himself for months. Raffaello was right beside him through it all. Helping BushelBerry come to terms with this apparent curse that now rested on him. Raffaello also helped him train to use magic, since he seemed to have a natural aptitude for it. This resulted in BushelBerry mastering a combination of Nature and Arcane magic. Once he did, the Starwood Strands spoke to him. He realised they always had, but he hadn't noticed before. They had been rustles on the wind, but now, he heard them loud and clear.

Raffaello wasn't the only one who helped BushelBerry get back on his feet. The other two clan leaders, Lesya and Rhodesia, also offered their friendship and their aid. He bonded with Lesya because she too, could not remember anything from her past. She had still been able to recall her name, but that was all. She also seemed to be constantly changing appearance. BushelBerry had reformed and that was it, but Lesya seemed to be stuck in this shifting state of uncertainty. Both Lesya and Rhodesia asked him if he could help keep a record of Lesya's changes, to help her make sense of this whirlwind of chaos that had become her life. He wasn't sure at first, considering his experiences with writing about himself previously, but that's when he found out he could write about others. He found he actually quite liked writing, and that he had a way with words.

Aside from helping him find his passion for writing and record keeping, Rhodesia also fascinated him with her many magic tricks. He kept trying to get her to explain her tricks to him, so he could write a book about it, but she steadfastly refused. She said that, if she told him, it would spoil the magic. It became a kind of game between the two of them. Rhodesia would show him her latest tricks, and he would try and guess at how it worked. Rhodesia never showed any signs of giving up any of her magician's secrets. They both liked this little back and forth, this friendly mind game they shared. Something else they shared was an insatiable sweet tooth.

Another dragon he befriended was Nina. An excitable Obelisk dragon who seemed to excrete inks and aquarel paints from their body. He wasn't quite sure how that worked, neither was Nina. Both were okay with that. They bonded over a love of books and art. BushelBerry liked Vanyel too, but they could quickly become quite a lot to BushelBerry. Vanyel was very present and could be quite overwhelming, whereas Nina, while excitable, was a little more tempered in their ways. They also settled into a sort of system together where BushelBerry was allowed to collect the inks Nina produced as long as they could read the books in BushelBerry's collection.
