The two brothers still grieve the death of their sisters and dear friend. Mataha had offered to the boys to be mates after the others' departures but all four knew it wasn't going to go well. A connection borne of grief...is not a good one. So when Ktalutua and Hallow declined, Phantom agreed and he too refused.

Instead he and his sibling keep Ktalu & Mat company.
When the first children of the Arcanist returned to Sornienth and brought the arrival of Sidas, Escellun, Iskandar and Terraria (Waraye) along-- the four moths quickly became Mattaha's new friends.
Solwly, Hallow & Phantom distanced themselves from the jolly group, wanting to be alone but... The moths, or rather Iskandar in particular, always tails them. Asking if they're ok with those big curious, worried eyes of his. Like a young child not understanding why but knowing, sensing, something is wrong.

And then Derraden and Aterua would come, along with Aegis, Storm & 'Nessa.
Soon Mat and the others would join, with the Cheery reaper organizing a fiesta to lighten their collective spirits. (And as she dances, as she sings followed soon by the group...Phantom could swear he saw the faces of his dead comrades & children, no, their friends and children smiling.

Somewhere amidst the crowd of spirits, the brothers quickly notice, are their sisters. Fengrai singing along to the tune while Falcalie simply hums, looking right at him with that gentle, amused smile of hers.

When the brothers blink, their siblings are gone. )
