KaiLee

Kailee was one of the most rambunctious hatchlings the clan had ever known. Always bright-eyed and mischievous, she made a habit of getting into anything and everything, especially trouble. If no one was actively watching her, sometimes even if they were, she was up to no good. There was never any malice in her motives though, just a pursuit of wild adventure. She was born a spiral dragon, the child of Eavan and Clifton, though none would believe her if she told them now.

It was Kailee's seeming need for chaos that led to the change. For only a moment, no one was watching and she slipped away into Ghost's bags as he set off. Ghost had taken to hunting in the Plague territories when necessary, not wanting to expose the other dragons of the clan and risk them falling ill. Some worried he was trying to prove something, if only to himself. This made Kailee terribly curious. She wanted to see the marred terrain and know its twisted creatures. As Ghost swooped low over the landscape, so alien to Kailee, she leaned further and further from her hiding place. In pursuit of some promising prey, and not knowing of his little passenger, Ghost turned sharply. Kailee was jostled and thrown from Ghost's bag, plummeting into the festering lake of the Wyrmwound. Hearing her cries as she fell, Ghost realized the danger and dove after her, but he was too late. Kailee would not be a spiral for much longer.

Ghost flew as quickly as he dared, for fear of dropping the shivering and sputtering little hatching. He returned to a clan in disarray as they searched for the missing dragon. They were glad at first to see Ghost approaching, crying, "I found her!" But the tone of his words turned the comfort cold. Settled down into a pile of soft pillows, the aberration soon found herself blinking up all the concerned faces of the clan, and wondering why they were staring, "what?"

It was quite the adjustment to her new form, but KaiLee managed just fine. She never lost her passion for mischief. If anything, twice the heads meant twice the brainpower for finding ways to have fun. KaiLee choose to split her name, capitalizing the L. The heads bickered and quarreled bitterly over the decision, but eventually decided that the two-eyed right head would be called Kai, and the three-eyed left head would be called Lee. Together, they would still be KaiLee, they'd just look a little different. The clan too, needed time to adjust. A new species meant new needs, and none had seen a dragon like her before. The other hatchings were even afraid of her, though only for a moment. She was still their KaiLee after all, even if she now ate twice as much and could yell twice as loud.

KaiLee's familiar is a Jade Troodo, a creature with just as much of a penchant for trouble as her, if with different strategies. The little creature has a tendency to nick any objects it has arbitrarily decided belongs to it. KaiLee sometimes returns these, sometimes asks if the Troodo can keep them, and sometimes decides that the theft has provided the perfect opportunity for some well-planned misconduct. The two keep everyone in the clan on their toes, but never cause enough harm to actually warrant a punishment. They do, however, get as insufferably close to that line as possible.
