to put it shortly, chrome is not a "real" dragon. he is more like an automaton, or robot, brought to life. using the easily available resources of the lightning flight, chrome was constructed by the eccentric (name TBA), though at first they did not have much intelligence. using.. less than ethical methods, their robotic body was infused with organics, as well as a functioning brain kept alive with electricity.

chrome records the history of the clan, essentially working as the lorekeeper. while intelligent, he seems to lack any real personality and mostly copies after what other dragons do. however, as time passes, their personality does seem to evolve into one that is more curious and scholarly.
