midnight; a dragon born from a shooting star, this being of light knows no bounds when it comes to battle. through his comparably small size, this blind warrior has the unlikely advantage to strike down a foe. he will not back down, even if that means well due death.
"you cannot strike me down, snapper!" fiercely yelled the skydancer, leaping over his enemy, with a swift kick against their head. it was the lightning-bound snapper, oya. the two had regularly faced in combat, using their skills as training against an unfamiliar foe.
"you do not have to speak to me that way, skydancer." the other said with emphasis, exhaling a strained breath. "i think we shall be done for today." she said, clearly exhausted from the blind skydancer's energy.
"your skills are slowing, oya," midnight had said, concern in his voice. "i worry of you. what will happen when we truly must face in combat?" he said, making his way over to the larger dragon.
"since i had transformed into a snapper, my body just isn't the same, dear midnight." she said, leaning a bit towards him. "but i will be ready, after all. even though my body is slowing with my age, i will not back away from a fight."
the skydancer nodded. "i suppose you shall not." he said, rather content with her answer. he was more worried of his skills than he was worried of her. his sight always got in the way, the blinding beacons of his eyes didn't just frighten enemies, it impaired him. made him feel weak. "oya," he muttered, his face towards the ground. "do you think i am weak?" he asked, seeming a bit defeated.
the snapper stayed silent for a minute. it made midnight's heard tremble. "no," she answered, laying herself on the ground next to him. "i trained you, did i not? you believe i am strong, and powerful. therefore, all that ive taught you, that makes you strong, too." she said, glancing down at him. "you are not weak because of your sight. you will be weak if you make it so," she continued, closing her crackling eyes.
"thank you, teacher." the skydancer responded, stretching his sore limbs.
