Unlike the other hatchlings of the clan, who were usually scared of Esh's Mystics, Champa was fascinated by them and would often sneak away from the nursery to spend their days in the Abbey. Delphi had a particular fondness for the inquisitive Champa, allowing them to stay where some of the other Mystics had no patience. She could sense the natural talent for divination within them and tried to foster it as well as she could.

As they grew older, Champa decided not to stay upon the Mystic path, but still found they had a knack for divination, especially tasseomancy. Their older sister, Lailah, cultivates tea plants and other exotics herbs for use in Champa's practice. Many dragons, from both within the clan and without, come to them for advice and readings, especially in the realm of love.

To those who don't know them well, Champa can seem flamboyantly aloof - their voice is musical as they speak in rhymes and riddles, their claws slipping small puffs of glitter and gunpowder into their readings to add to the show. They are loud and physical, yet mysterious. Behind the curtain, however, they are soft spoken and quietly cheeky - a side of them that is only ever seen by their dearest friends and family.
