Life in Rotrock Rim had accidentally been cut short, but the memories were pleasant nonetheless for this little veilspun. The sweltering temperatures created by the pestilent lake up above allowed for these dragons the freedom to venture out on their own, a luxury which was not oft taken for granted. Unfortunately for one so young, the dangers of leaving the warmth of the Plaguebringer's land had not been fully grasped. With a body as light as hers, and wings that beat far too fast, the distance she could cover was much farther than one would imagine, especially when she could sleep alone. Fracas wandered too far, drawn by her intense curiosity, and eventually found herself dodging the gnarled knots of Foxfire Bramble. The twisted roots made a mess of her sense of direction, as did the darkness surrounding her. By some miracle of fate, so she argues, she stumbled into an alleyway amidst Murkbarrow Close, but by this time her body was exhausted having fought through the twisted thicket. Everything that followed was a blur until she woke three weeks later, nestled in the warmth of downy fur enrobing an aberration's neck. The large dragon introduced herself (herselves? Fracas was still unsure...) as Dynasty. She had apparently found her alone, passed out under a shelter of glowing fungi on the outskirts of Wispwillow Grove. She was scolded about how it was not a safe refuge for a veilspun, let alone one unaccompanied by other dragons of its kind, and that Dynasty had taken it upon herself to scoop up the little thing and warm her up the only way she knew how. Fracas has felt indebted to the aberration ever since, but over time, a fondness has grown as well. The two take care of one another in their own ways and are inseparable to the point that most dragons residing within the Diamond Rooks don't even know she exists. Story Log |
↬ EXTRA INFO ↫
This dragon was originally purchased on the AH with this original description which I worked into her lore: TheTrueMothman wrote:
These plague-ridden veils bury themselves within the fluff on an Aberrations neck, helping to keep them clean of debris and insects that might be stuck to their body and potentially causing harm. In exchange, they sneak down to partake in the leftovers of any Aberration meal, snatching up discarded bones or bits of meat that drop down into their mane.
